Job Opening: Freelance Video Shooter & Editor
Do you love troubleshooting and fixing electrical devices, kitchen appliances, smart home gadgets, and using tools like drills and impact drivers?
Are you excited to shoot and edit helpful “how-to” and demo videos showing how to use and fix these products?
If yes, join us to create great YouTube videos — faceless and no voice-over needed!
Video topics and shooting materials will be provided — you just focus on filming and editing.
Video shooting will take place at our in-house studio.
Job Requirements
- Passion for troubleshooting and fixing electrical items
- Comfortable using tools (drill, impact driver, etc.)
- Comfortable disassembling electrical appliances
- Comfortable setting up electronic devices and smart home products
- Passionate about researching how to use products by reading user manuals and guides
- Basic English understanding
- Any education level
- No need to appear on camera (videos can be faceless)
- No voice-over required
- Able to research using ChatGPT, Google, YouTube, Reddit, etc.
- Willing to learn basic video editing (training provided)
- Can work independently and meet deadlines
- The role requires one person to do both shooting and editing; tasks are not separated.
- Shoot “how-to” and demo videos showing repairs and use of products at our in-house studio
Video Topics:
Kitchen appliances
Electrical/electronic devices
Smart home products
Power tools
- Edit videos using provided software (training included if needed)
- Upload videos to YouTube with proper title, description, tags, and thumbnail
- Complete video projects on time
Equipments and Gear
- Laptop and camera provided
- Video editing software included
- Basic training provided (no experience needed)
- Work from home (editing) or at studio
- All video topics and shooting materials supplied — no need to prepare on your own
Working Hours & Days
- Flexible schedule: Morning, Afternoon, or Night
- Work any day: Monday to Sunday
- Task-based deadlines instead of fixed hours
Pay
- Pay is project-based
- This is a freelance-based role, not a fixed employment position.
- Freelancers who put in consistent effort can make more than RM3,000 each month.
